ZenWeave ("we", "us", "our") operates the ZenWeave mobile application (Android and iOS) and the website at zenweave.app (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account data. Email address (or third-party sign-in identifier) when you create an account.
- Goals and affirmations. The goals you write and the affirmation lines generated or edited by you. These are stored so the Service can display and schedule them.
- Journal entries and mood data. Text notes and mood ratings you save after sessions.
- Subscription data. Purchase receipts from Google Play or the Apple App Store used to verify your Premium status. We do not directly handle credit-card numbers.
- Support messages. Any messages you send us via email or in-app feedback.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data. Session duration, tracks played, streak counts, screens viewed, and feature interactions.
- Device data. Device model, operating system version, app version, language setting, and time zone.
- Crash reports. Technical logs collected via Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose app errors.
- Cookies and similar technologies. On our website we may use cookies or local-storage tokens for basic analytics (e.g., page-view counts). We do not serve advertising cookies.
1.3 Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect precise GPS location.
- We do not record your microphone or camera.
- We do not sell or share personal data with data brokers.
2. How We Use Your Information

We will not use your data for purposes materially different from those listed above without notifying you and, where required by law, obtaining your consent.
3. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of trusted third-party services:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, cloud database, analytics, and crash reporting.
- Google Play Billing / Apple StoreKit — subscription purchase verification.
- OpenAI API — affirmation line generation. Your goal text is sent to OpenAI; we do not send your name, email, or any other personally identifying information alongside it.
Each third-party processes data under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies.
4. Data Retention
- Active account. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
- Deleted account. If you delete your account we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., purchase records).
- Crash logs. Retained for up to 90 days.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), Firebase security rules, and access controls for our team. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information continuously.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Port your data to another service in a common format.
- Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal data (we do not sell or share data, so this right is already satisfied).
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based.
To exercise any right, email privacy@zenweave.app. We will respond within 30 days (or within the timeframe required by applicable law).
7. Children's Privacy
ZenWeave is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. International Data Transfers
Our servers and third-party providers may be located outside your country. By using the Service you consent to the transfer of your data to those locations. We take reasonable steps to ensure data protection standards are maintained.
9. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and its amendments. Specifically:
- You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected.
- You may request deletion of your personal information.
- We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

10. European Economic Area Residents (GDPR)
If you reside in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your data under the following legal bases:
- Contract performance — providing the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interest — improving the Service and preventing abuse.
- Consent — where we ask for your explicit permission (e.g., optional analytics).
You may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority if you believe we have not handled your data properly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email.
